Your Donations received STEP VA to provide:

  • Scholarships - Allows individuals with disabilities to participate in a creative and performing arts program that may not be otherwise possible due to financial hardships.

  • Therapeutic Equipment - Used to meet the sensory needs of each participant and enhance their experience (ex: weighted vests, sit disks, therapy balls, sensory fidgets, single use chewy tools, weighted blankets).

  • Safety Equipment - Used to maintain the safety of each individual (ex: disposable gloves, hand sanitizer, sani-wipes, two-way radios).

  • Program Development - Enables us to expand our programming to offer more sessions, to include other populations, and to continue to grow and serve individuals with disabilities.

Employer Matching Gifts

Many employers will match donations made to charitable organizations!

STEP VA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which means we qualify for the majority of employer matching gifts.  By participating in employer matching gift programs, you can double the impact of your donation.  Some employers will even match gifts 3:1!

If you are not sure if the company you work for will match your donations, please ask! If needed, our Tax Exempt Number is 46-3919345.

The Lily Fund

The Lily Fund

We are proud to announce the establishment of a scholarship fund in honor and memory of a very special little girl named Lily Noakes! . Lily participated in our 2014 Summer Arts Camp: she was quiet and shy but danced and said her lines, ; a tiny girl who stepped up big and bold when it was time to take center stage. Lily was just like all of our special kids, except that she had cancer. Lily’s fight ended on January 23, 2015.

 

Lily Funds will be used to provide scholarships to allow deserving people with disabilities to participate in our programs.
